New Mercury fuzz graphics

‘Mercury’ fuzz pedal enclosures are just back from the paint shop! This latest batch of 100 pedals will feature new graphics ― a very high quality stoved epoxy silkscreen print ‘Mercury’ space capsule logo to commemorate John Glenn being the first American astronaut to orbit the Earth in 1962. The Effectrode Mercury fuzz is named after the space vehicle, or capsule, in which he did his 3 orbits of the Earth and is our tribute to the fantastic achievement of Glenn and all those involved at NASA. The Mercury will be available in the next 6 to 8 weeks and is much sought after as it’s the only tube driven fuzz pedal on the market. If you’d like to reserve one of this stellar pedals then please email us at sales@effectrode.com to get on the waiting list.

Wasn’t the circuit supposed to be silver-plated on this batch ?

  6. Andy says:

Awesome job Phil. Can’t wait for release. Are 2x mercury pedals and a Helios too much fuzz for one board? I think not.

  7. Ben says:

    Thanks.

  13. Noël says:

    Hi there,

    New news on the DeltraTrem?

    • Phil says:

Hi Noël, We’re working on the Delta-Trem and Phaseomatic pedals and are expecting to complete these designs in the next couple of week or so. They will then be ready to go into production later this year. Thanks, Phil

  14. Noël says:

    Okay,

Thanks for your info on the Delta-Trem

  15. charles says:

i am wondering about the toggle switch nearest the tubes, I believe you call this the bias toggle switch? I ask because you describe it as a 3 position toggle, yet on my model it only has 2 positions. Also i find zero difference between the 2 positions ( i have the stock tubes in it still). I hope you can reply because i am beginning to think this may be a faulty part (again because it does not have 3 positions and it does seem to have any effect in either of its 2 positions)

  16. charles says:

Oh..I wrote the last comment. I thought i was in the Effectrode Blackbird section when writing. My comment was concerning my Blackbird pedal

  17. Alan says:

Hey Phil, any electronic / tonal differences with the latest Mercury Fuzz?

  18. Ronald says:

Please place me on the waiting list for your most excellent Mercury Fuzz…. so wish i could have had a Helios….Thanks Guys

    • Phil says:

Hi Ronald, This current batch of Mercury fuzzes are all spoken, however I’ll pass your details on to Sam so she can add to the list for the next batch. Thanks, Phil

  19. John Bruns says:

    Phil,

I have both your Helios and Mercury. Why are you not continuing the Helios Pedal?

    It is terrific!

    John

    • Phil says:

Hi John, We’re a small company and only have capacity to build so many pedals, which part explains why the Helios was a limited special run. Also, the Mercury was supposed to replace it, however despite the circuit being almost the same as the Helios it does sound a little different. Best regards, Phil

  20. Erich Bergendorff says:

Wow – you guys did it again – with the Mercury! This one really stands apart from the rest. Nice envelope and harmonics. This, I recon, will go well with my multiband compressor pedal. BTW, I’d be to help out with the assemblies in a flash!!

    Cheers,
    Erich

  21. Pierre says:

    Hello Phil,

When can I hope to receive Mercury Fuzz? I was on the waiting list :).

    • Phil says:

      Hi Pierre,

We’re working on the Mecury fuzz pedals right now and they’ll start shipping within the next two weeks. Best regards, Phil

  22. Ben says:

    Hi Phil,

Any chance that the next run of PC-2A Tube Compressors will contain the “Gilmour mod”?

    Thanks,

    Ben

  23. Karim says:

    Hi Phil,
Please put me on the list for the Mercury.
    Thanks
