Just bought a Tube-Vibe and its fantastic :) I have had other vibes and they all have hurt my ears in some extent and change the dry sound. The tube vibe is definitely not my last Effectrode pedal but the way I feel right now Effectrode might very well be the last brand I will ever buy.

I Received my Tube-Vibe in the mail yesterday. I had to call into work sick from staying up playing all night. I don't even know how to express how sweet this pedal is. I'm playing a Deluxe American Strat through a Fender Blues Deluxe Tweed and with this Tube Vibe my tone is unbelievable. I'm ordering the Tube Photo Optical Compressor Friday. Any idea when the new version of the Tube Drive will be available? I would pay $500 for a used one right now just from watching the videos online. It would push my amp to break-up just perfect. I think the Fire Bottle would be a nice addition to push a solo too. You Rock Phil.

I picked up #015 "Tube Vibe" from GuitarX here in the States a few weeks ago, and actually haven't had more than a few hours to really play with it. But I HAVE noodled with it for awhile as delivered, and it sure DOES:
1) sound smooth, glassy, sweet, mile-deep & wet
2) JUST like an early Trower sound
3) it's absolutely invisible, my Strat sounds exactly the same when the effect is on, versus not even in the chain.
4) one of the "improvements was to slightly alter some voltages (I suspect) to render it practical to switch out the 12AU7 final tube for a 12AX7 that's a gain factor change of "70" to "100" I think. So, getting up in my years and not wanting to leave behind a cabinet full of killer N.O.S. vintage tubes, I decided whip out a late 50's Amperex "Bugle Boy" 12AX7 that had tested hot as hell and exceptionally bright.
I'm just gonna say "it'll just make ya cry!" gain, sustain, lingering overtones, and how about the natural tone of the guitar itself all swirling around the room..... you will find phrasing and melodic intervals you've never even imagined. I did, and I don't even have a clue what I just said! If I play my '60 Gibson GA40 at TV volume (apartment living) with this in front of it, an EH Memory Man set kinda reverby, and a thick glass slide and you can almost smell that southern Delta swampland!
Of course it kills in my '67 plexi 50w too! I've tried several "vibe pedals" that shall remain unnamed, and this is the one that sounds
the best - just my opinion - AND does NOT "color the sound" under the effect. I have a uniquely quacky sounding Strat and it still
sounds like it, when it's thru your Tube Vibe! Thanks for a truly honestly great product people!

Once I dialed-in the TV-5A Tube-Vibe via the interior "Blend" trim pot - I couldn't help but break-out my DSOTM, Animals, Procol Harem, and Bridge Of Sighs CD's for hours of non-stop lunar bliss! The drive section may have been an unforeseen bonus here? If not - Phil Taylor is a bonafide genius! Just for the sake of experimentation, I decided to throw in an RCA 12AX7 in the 12AU7 tube position. My Cornford amplifiers translate pedal effects better than any MV amplifier I'v ever owned - but they don't generally like to be "stroked" via bi-amping. Well, both my MK50H II and my "Hurricane" LOVE the drive characteristics of the TV-5A. There's so much awesomeness going on here. Any setting I dial-in sounds incredible! I will even say that the TV-5A sounds better than both of my original Shin-Ei Univibe units. I replaced the stock JJ's tubes with a JAN 12AT7, JJ's gold-pin 12AT7, and swap between several drive tube flavors. My TV-1 was a great pedal for sure - and I hated letting go of it. Now I don't even think about it. The TV-5A is just another example of why Phil Taylor is the king of vibe!

So, I'm in the studio and the electric guitar is just NOT doing anything for me or the engineer on the session whatsoever. I'm stomping pedals, playing with tone controls, anything to make it happen and the engineer yells "STOP" to me. I'd kicked on the Tube-Vibe and man, did it ever let the track sit in the mix. I love it and to me it makes this tune. Thanks for putting out such a killer product and the support on your website by the way. Hope all is well with you and thanks again. Cheers, Glenn

The vibe, it's got all the lushness I could dream of, and the sweep freeze feature allows me to use it as an adjustable filter. Indeed, I like to use this with intensity at about 2 o'clock, giving me more mids, like if I was playing on a non-turning leslie cabinet (cf J. Page on "Good times bad times").

. . I'm continously amazed, with this tone. One thing that I wanted to tell you that I'm so impressed about, is that how your tube vibe is so effect friendly. The subtleties are truly amazing. This Vibe brings out the true soul of other effects. Thank You so much for taking such care and pride in your creation.
